~Verse of the day~

Jeremiah 31:13
"Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance,
and the young men and the old shall be merry.
I will turn their mourning into joy;
I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow."

~When you can't understand~

The misunderstanding of other people's actions makes us to better understand our own actions,
it makes it all seem much more simple when we focus on the betterment of ourselves than it does trying to understand and explain the decisions and actions of those around us.
If we can somehow focus on becoming a better person everyday then that alone will lead us into our purpose and turn us into the very best that we can be!
So when you can't understand what or why your neighbor is doing things the way they are doing them..put it out of your mind, focus on what YOU need to do..focus on WHO you need to become and PRAY for your neighbor that they will have their eyes opened to those things in their life!

~Verse of the day~

Jeremiah 31:3
"the Lord appeared to him from far away.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you."

~Beyond Your Control~

Some things in this life are uncertain and even beyond our control,
When these things happen..we cannot change certain things, for instance..we cannot change the weather, no more than we can change someone's mind on a matter..
However, the only thing that we can change is our response and attitude to the mysteries in this life..the things that are beyond our control.
We cannot allow things or even people to control or to alter our outlook on life, we mustn't change our values or even our personality merely on the fact that someone isn't comfortable with you acting a certain way or even responding a certain way that is different from the way they respond.
Be yourself, be the person that is confident in who they are in Christ, learn that nothing and no one should cause you to lose your integrity or to tell you that your dreams are too big..those are the negative things that you should never listen to because if someone truly cares about you.. they will not challenge your values, question your dreams, our even cause you to question who you are or what you think about the world,
We are supposed to encourage and lift up others around us, we are meant to benefit the ideals of our friends and family, if we cannot do that, then what are we doing with our time?
What is the point if we aren't lifting others up?
What do we accomplish at the end of the day or at the end of our lives if we cannot make other people around us want to grow and become something even more at the end of our lives or even pass a smile along to them..what are we doing to others?
Are you leaving a good legacy behind? What will you be remembered for?
It's quite simple for me..
The legacy I want to leave behind is..
#1. That I cause people to question their disbelief in God and come to realize that  he is real and loves them.
#2. For people to remember me as being kind and always smiling even through life's struggles.
#3. That I helped someone through a hard time in their life and in result they didn't give up.
#4. To leave behind this world being a successful Wife, Mother and perhaps even a grandmother..I want them to remember me as being a woman of faith and always a speaker of life to those around me..not just to my family but to everyone I met in my life..even those who weren't so kind to me, and I want to teach them to never give up hope..even when others around you are saying that it's hopeless.
That's the legacy that I want to leave, that's the most important thing in my mind. What is the legacy that you want to leave? Are you causing people around you to gradually grow or are you causing people to slowly pass away?

Proverbs 18:20-21
"From the fruit of a man's mouth his stomach is satisfied;
he is satisfied by the yield of his lips.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits."

~Verse of the day~

Psalms 63:6-8
"when I remember you upon my bed,
and meditate on you in the watches of the night;
for you have been my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me."

~Doubt Kills~

"Doubt" the very sound of the word has a very bitter taste to it.
It means that no matter how good something is right in front of you..you allow doubt to take control of your mind and in result doubt takes away the opportunity from your path for you.
Doubt is something that holds you back from so many things in this life and it sometimes disguises itself as a "voice of reason" oftentimes it causes us to fall short in many areas, to doubt also means to say that "you just can't see it happening" when there is doubt there..there cannot be any room for hope because hope doesn't want to dwell in a place where it doesn't feel welcome.
Doubt also means that you can never rise to your full potential because in the back of your mind there will always be something holding you back and keeping you in the same place, and if you're kept in the same place then how can your life ever change for the better?
Satan loves it when we no longer have a positive mindset and that we no longer have the ability to see that every mushroom cloud has a silver lining and more than that we do not have the ability to hope in the unseen anymore.

There is a way to fight back though..
You can start speaking with your mouth the things that are going to happen in your life! You claim the right things to come your way and believe that God doesn't send mistakes in your path! God only sends what we need in our lives, that means that we need to dismiss the feeling of doubt and we need to instead grab onto hope and to also choose to not settle for mediocre in our lives but to instead move into something greater..something that we weren't looking for but ended up finding.
Leave no room for doubt and no one will ever have a reason to doubt you either. Be positive and hopeful that everything will workout and in the end..it will workout,
in this life we have to be fully committed to seeing things workout and if they don't then at least we can continue to grow as life goes on and the peace of mind in knowing that we gave something our all..leaving no room for regret.
Remember.."Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will"
Leave no room for doubt but instead move in confidence wherever life decides to go.

~A Greatful Heart~

There are moments in life where we get so caught up in the ideal of things that it ends up taking away a certain feeling of the thought that went into an act of love,
It reminds me of the story in the bible when the disciples saw the act of love and the offering of the woman who was a servant of God that poured precious perfume on the feet of Jesus as she wept, while washing his feet and she even dried them with her hair! Wow! How could the disciples not see what their eyes were witnessing?
She had been through so much in her past and had laid it all down at Jesus' feet! But so much more than that..she was honoring Jesus and giving him an offering of humility and a certain level of affection in such an innocent form! It just amazes me!
The disciples couldn't see what was happening fully because they didn't have the level of gratitude that this woman had toward Jesus, this was her way of worship but they didn't understand because they had never seen worship in this manner, in many ways it broke the ideal of tradition and because of that they simply couldn't see the beauty and the thoughtfulness behind what was happening!
That brings me to this point..
In our lives there are going to be people that will be critical to us about the way we worship God and they may even question you about it but the thing is that we mustn't ever forget the reason why we are worshipping the way that we do, we are doing it because we were all created to worship in many different ways, it can be because of what we are gifted in that causes us to worship in a certain way, it could be the way the spirit is moving and we follow it, it could even be what we've gone through that has led us to worshipping in a different manner than others may worship but don't become discouraged because they question your way of worship.. instead, allow this to be an opportunity to share with them your testimony and where you used to be..you don't have to  pour your whole story out to them unless you feel led or compelled to because some may not understand or may be critical of your story..be wise who you pour your heart out to because even some church-goers will be critical of your story, much like Jesus' disciples were in this woman's story of worship and gratitude..but when you reach that level of humility and worship unto God..don't look around, look up and worship God no matter what they are whispering or the expression on their faces as to what you are doing in your worship! Do it anyway and do it with excellence! Worship is a craft and you should understand the importance of worshipping God and do it without shame! Some people are loud worshipers..while others are more quiet in their worship but one thing it comes down to is that..it's all unto God and we need to worship like we need to breathe air!
The way that we worship is so deep and is so unique but God loves it and we were all created to worship him in our own way, just like we are all uniquely made and our talents are different..our worship is the same way!

Colossians 3:22-24
"Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
