~A Greatful Heart~

There are moments in life where we get so caught up in the ideal of things that it ends up taking away a certain feeling of the thought that went into an act of love,
It reminds me of the story in the bible when the disciples saw the act of love and the offering of the woman who was a servant of God that poured precious perfume on the feet of Jesus as she wept, while washing his feet and she even dried them with her hair! Wow! How could the disciples not see what their eyes were witnessing?
She had been through so much in her past and had laid it all down at Jesus' feet! But so much more than that..she was honoring Jesus and giving him an offering of humility and a certain level of affection in such an innocent form! It just amazes me!
The disciples couldn't see what was happening fully because they didn't have the level of gratitude that this woman had toward Jesus, this was her way of worship but they didn't understand because they had never seen worship in this manner, in many ways it broke the ideal of tradition and because of that they simply couldn't see the beauty and the thoughtfulness behind what was happening!
That brings me to this point..
In our lives there are going to be people that will be critical to us about the way we worship God and they may even question you about it but the thing is that we mustn't ever forget the reason why we are worshipping the way that we do, we are doing it because we were all created to worship in many different ways, it can be because of what we are gifted in that causes us to worship in a certain way, it could be the way the spirit is moving and we follow it, it could even be what we've gone through that has led us to worshipping in a different manner than others may worship but don't become discouraged because they question your way of worship.. instead, allow this to be an opportunity to share with them your testimony and where you used to be..you don't have to  pour your whole story out to them unless you feel led or compelled to because some may not understand or may be critical of your story..be wise who you pour your heart out to because even some church-goers will be critical of your story, much like Jesus' disciples were in this woman's story of worship and gratitude..but when you reach that level of humility and worship unto God..don't look around, look up and worship God no matter what they are whispering or the expression on their faces as to what you are doing in your worship! Do it anyway and do it with excellence! Worship is a craft and you should understand the importance of worshipping God and do it without shame! Some people are loud worshipers..while others are more quiet in their worship but one thing it comes down to is that..it's all unto God and we need to worship like we need to breathe air!
The way that we worship is so deep and is so unique but God loves it and we were all created to worship him in our own way, just like we are all uniquely made and our talents are different..our worship is the same way!

Colossians 3:22-24
"Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
