~Better than sacrifice..~

Proverbs 21:1-8
Chapter 21
"The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord;
he turns it wherever he will.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but the Lord weighs the heart.
To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
Haughty eyes and a proud heart,
the lamp of the wicked, are sin.
The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance,
but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.
The getting of treasures by a lying tongue
is a fleeting vapor and a snare of death.
The violence of the wicked will sweep them away,
because they refuse to do what is just. The way of the guilty is crooked,
but the conduct of the pure is upright."
There are a lot of verses that we need to remind ourselves of sometimes, I like to look through random verses sometimes and other times when I'm feeling a certain way whether it be angry, confused, lonely, burdened, or joyful..Whatever I may be feeling I will go to that particular area in the bible and it always helps me to get back up again and helps me to keep moving forward in my life.
When you are able to train yourself to run to God's word in hard times..it helps you to work through your problems more efficiently and with that you'll also have more time to be able to help others out!
Proverbs 20:27-29
"The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts.
Steadfast love and faithfulness preserve the king,
and by steadfast love his throne is upheld. The glory of young men is their strength,
but the splendor of old men is their gray hair."
If there's anything that I've learned while serving God..it's that following after God's will..will always be fulfilling..even more so than following after our own plans ever will!
Serving God with everything you have will always be worth it and will always make the smile on your face last much longer than going after your own desires ever will..trust me, you will always be satisfied serving God in your life..in fact nothing will ever compare to the great joy that you will feel when you decide to dedicate your whole life to serving Him!
