~Crushed:The ultimate sacrifice~

Revelation 1:5-8
"And from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.
To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
It's still difficult to imagine the pain that our Lord and Savior suffered upon himself for our sins, it's hard to think of the ultimate shame that he must've endured for us, he was spit upon and called a false God by many, and yet somehow out of his true love for us..He still took our shame and died for us!
Imagine for a moment how deep his love is for you! Imagine for a second of the courage that it took! Can you imagine? And just imagine how his mother Mary must've felt as she watched her child..her first born being beaten and his life draining from him! Mary knew that something powerful would come after but she still had to watch him as he died for those who called him bad names and spit upon him..and she still grieved as her son was buried even though she knew that there was more than this, she knew that God had a big purpose for all of this pain that was endured on her son and the sorrow of watching him as he died!
1 John 4:7-19
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us."

Jesus paid a ransom for many so that we could be saved through the love of his ultimate sacrifice, because of that sacrifice you can now be saved and become set free of your sins! Jesus died for everyone because he loves us all just the same and he has prepared a place for us in Heaven! He's coming back sooner than we think so let's get ready for his return! We will be with him for eternity and be free from all pain and sorrow of this world and we'll be with the loved ones who have gone before us! What a wonderful day that will be!
